Live updates on the major outage as X and Twitter go down for the third time

X (FKA Twitter) appears to be experiencing serious problems for the third time in a single day, as users continue to report difficulties accessing and logging onto the well-known social media platform.

During the second outage, over 40,000 customers reported that they were unable to even get the X website to load, and now there are allegations of a third outage.

Earlier today, there was a brief rise in reports, but the problem was promptly fixed. A third outage seems to be in progress, despite the fact that the second disruption had a far greater jump and was promptly fixed.

Major American cities continue to see the largest increases in outage complaints, with New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and other places at the top of the list.

But as you can see from the map above, outage complaints are widespread across the United States, from smaller cities to rural areas. Based only on the number of outage complaints, it is reasonable to assume that people nationwide (and worldwide) are unable to access the social network.

Many of your online scrolling habits are most likely out of control now that X is down. You might not know what to do with yourself if you spend a lot of time looking for information on X.

Fortunately, you can get your social media dose from a variety of Twitter and X alternatives.

However, we have alternative options if you don’t want to snoop about on another social network. Why not watch some of our top short-form videos and subscribe to CouponNvoucher on TikTok? Additionally, if you want lengthier material, you might want to check out CouponNvoucher on YouTube, which has a ton of reviews and other interesting stuff.

If that doesn’t work, you might want to read our comprehensive guide to Bluesky to gain a better understanding of the rapidly expanding social network.

It is not beneficial for anyone when a service like X goes down. For the most recent information and news on, well, everything, people rely on X.

However, that’s not Elon Musk’s only issue right now. The stock price of Tesla has plummeted by an additional 11%, and UBS cautions that it is still a sell at this point.

So far this year, the stock has dropped almost 40%.

Why the sharp drop? Tesla’s 2025 car deliveries are expected to drop by 5%, according to a UBS analyst, marking the company’s second straight year of negative growth.

Even though it took much longer, the reports have now started to decline little but noticeably. As of this writing, the outage is now at 26,428 after peaking at 29,143. That may indicate that the outage is coming to an end because there are around 3,000 fewer complaints than there were at its height.

Is this going to be the last X/Twitter outage of the day, or will it continue? With the most recent X outage information as it becomes available, we’ll be present at every stage.

Downdetector displayed rapid triangles during the first two outages. The third is maintaining its peak for a much longer period of time.

Assume that DDOS assaults are the cause of the outage. In such scenario, the attackers could have discovered a more advantageous way to enter, or X engineers might be looking for a more long-term fix for the vulnerability the attackers are now exploiting.

Millions of people are unable to access their preferred social network due to this outage, which isn’t going away anytime soon.

Since we are unable to access any official channels on the social app, I have emailed X support to inquire about any explanations for the outage. If we receive a response from the social media behemoth, we will promptly publish an update.

If X is down, where do you go to complain that Twitter or X is down? When a significant outage occurs, we typically go to X to learn what people think about the issue.

Without X, we can utilize applications like Bluesky to find out what others think, but since Musk seldom uses other social media platforms, it’s difficult to get firsthand information from X itself.

Our article on how to sign up for Bluesky contains all the information you need to get started on the X alternative, so it would be a good idea to look it over if you’re interested in getting started.

Even though I can’t foresee the future, I can estimate how long this one could take to fix based on the last two X outages that occurred today. We would anticipate a similar time frame if it is a DDOS assault this time, but anything might happen. The two outages this morning each took around 45 minutes to resolve.

It took almost three hours for X to go down again after the DDOS attacks ceased and it returned, but it only took roughly half an hour for it to go down between the second and third outages.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
